.INSPIRATION. The beauty of flowers

Acabo de conocer a Mabel Allington Royds (1874 -1941) y estoy tremendamente enamorada de su obra. Hay muchas razones para ello.
Lo primero que me ha atrapado es la técnica. La xilografía es una de mis técnicas de grabado favoritas y además las suyas son multicolores, algo que es bastante complicado hacer (tengo experiencia en esto porque por un tiempo estuve estudiando diferentes técnicas de grabado).
La segunda razón de mi encantamiento es bastante obvia, las flores. El motivo de su obra, aunque no fue el único pues también representó figuras humanas, es la flora captada en detalle. Su visión delicada recoge las formas más significativas de cada flor elegida. Esa sutileza visual y manual es lo que me envuelve de amor por estas obras, incluso las flores que eligió son una muestra de su buen gusto.

Today I just discovered Mabel Allington Royds (1874 -1941). She created beauty as perfect as I can imagine something pretty. I think she is my new idol. 
Firstly because I love engravings, especially woodcuts. Her woodcuts are so elegant! And also the variety of colors, their selection and how she combine them... it is delicious! (I have some experience with woodcuts and I can tell you that it is also a complex technic).
Secondly because of the chosen motive: flowers. I already said it before but I'll say it again, I love flowers. I think that Mabel had an excellent taste choosing kinds of flowers and an amazing talent to represent them using their more delicate details. 
She also made engravings with other motives like humans, and they are also beautiful but for me these ones are unique.

I'm just in love with her creations.

The next picture is the same than the first one. I couldn't choose one of them because I love the colors in both. They are different but still too beautiful to choose.
